GRAD IS NEW IN ’22 at Dalmeny High School

After adapting to restrictions for two years, Dalmeny High School is poised to celebrate this year’s graduation class by rethinking the entire celebration. The theme “Grad is new in ‘22” captures the spirit of the planning which has been coordinated with a parent grad committee, school representatives and grade twelve students.

Dalmeny High School will celebrate graduation on Tuesday June 28, 2022. The day will consist of several components starting with the Graduation Ceremony to be held at Dalmeny Bible Church and live streamed for families at 4:00 P.M. The ceremony will consist of some tradition in a new location that will be beautifully decorated.

Following the ceremony, approximately 5:30 P.M., there will be a graduation parade to the local senior’s care home, which will allow members of the community to cheer on the graduates. The parade route will start at the Bible Church, heading North on Main Steet, East on Ross Avenue until 1st Street, North on 1st Street, through Spruce Manor’s curved driveway, then back to Dalmeny Bible Church via the same route in reverse. The parade will allow residents of Spruce Manor to also capture of glimpse of the well-dressed graduates.

After the parade, the Grads will return to Dalmeny Bible Church for a Food N’ Fun Celebration. Graduates and their families will be able to enjoy food, fun and music. Three popular food trucks, Rebel Melts, Grub Hub, and Wing World will be providing the food. Graduates and invited guests and family will enjoy the food trucks first with the entire community invited to access the food trucks beginning at 7:00 PM.

The community has been incredibly supportive through donations and supporting grad fundraisers. Each grad will receive a swag bag as well as having their food truck order covered. Thank you to everyone who have helped plan what can be expected to be a most memorable day for the graduates. The entire Town is looking forward to celebrating with them.
